Up for your consideration is an Extremely Clean and Like New 2007 Jayco Seneca 35GS with 3 slides, Diesel Onan and popular Duramax Diesel Powered chassis. This is without a doubt one of the nicest Jayco Senecas we have seen to date and will please the pickiest of buyers. With just under 20,000 miles, this Seneca has seen very little use, in fact less than 4,000 miles a year. But rest assured everything is working properly, don't be fooled an RV with NO use, it is nothing but a headache. The integral components of an RV need a little use in order to remain fully operational, everything works great and without fault.Many people make the mistake of buying large Class C motorhomes and learn the first roadtrip out that they are grossly under-powered. Although many of the newer gas engines have alot of horsepower, they lack the torque needed for low end grunt and maintaining speed while pulling or for those times in mountainous areas. The power of a diesel is amazing, once you have owned a diesel motorhome, you won't ever go back to a gas model. Also a noted advantage to diesel motorhomes are the Diesel generators. Diesel generators will outlast a gas model by up to 75% longer. There are a few Diesel motorhomes out there with Propane generators, having a dual fuel motorhome is nothing but a pain and are very hard to resell.When it comes to buying a diesel motorhome, there are more than a few options on the market today. One of the largest growing segments of the diesel RV market are the truck chassis motorhomes. These Class C diesels are so popular because of the easy of service and a feeling of driving a truck and not a big box. Most diesels pushers require partial removal of the bedroom floor to service the engine, additionally the labor rate of the diesel pushers is approaching $150 per hour, compare that to $80 for truck service. You can simply pop the hood and have full access to the engine compartment. The other advantage to the truck chassis' are much more rigid frames and allow for heavier use. Compare the massive brakes, tires, and heavy duty transmissions to a standard van body and you will see that a 36ft Class C needs to be on something much stronger than a van.This 2007 Jayco Seneca GS HD has only had 2 Previous owners, in fact I sold this unit about a year ago to a local couple that have traded this unit in a 2010 Jayco Seneca. The exterior has very minimal weathering and still looks great. This unit has the upgraded full body paint and the fiberglass exterior and roof are ALL original and look great. It is accident free, has a clean car history, and has never been smoked in or abused in any way. The interior looks great as well and everything works as it should, with the only disappointments being the trim around the slide-out and wearing on the driver seat. The Onan Diesel 7500 watt generator has right at 261 hours(these were very rare with the 7500watt Onan and a must for use with both ACs and additional power) and starts up without hesitation. The large living room slides and bedroom slide operates effortlessly as does the 4 point Equalizer self leveling system.For those of you who are unfamiliar with RVs built on existing chassis, I will explain some of the differences between conversion year models and chassis year models. Many RV converters build on existing available year model chassis. Take for example the current automobile market, 2012 year models are just now hitting the market. Well if you are an RV converter, you don't want to wait on a 2012 chassis, so you will convert a 2011 model in order to come to market quickly. This allows RV companies to deliver to market without being a year behind. This is very common, just do a little research on Class B and Class C models. The 10th digit of the VIN signifies the chassis year model, in this case a 6 which is 2006. However Jayco converted this unit late and called it a 2007. This is indeed a 2007. Some states will recognize the Chassis, in this case a 2006 Chevrolet 5500, and others will recognize it as a 2007 Jayco. But just so everyone knows, this is titled correctly as a 2007 Jayco Seneca.Performance Unlimited is a small specialty dealer located in West Texas about 300 miles west of the Dallas-Ft Worth Region.
